About the Role
We are looking for an Account Manager to grow and retain Sortlist's client base across the Italian market, with additional scope on the Dutch and UK markets.
Based in Madrid (Spain), you will manage a portfolio of agencies and SaaS customers, helping them extract long-term value from Sortlist's ecosystem while identifying opportunities to expand partnerships.
Why This Role Exists
Sortlist is evolving from a marketplace into a SaaS-first growth platform helping service providers detect demand, access the right contacts, and convert opportunities into revenue.
As our product ecosystem expands, including solutions like Overloop, ensuring strong adoption, retention, and expansion across clients becomes critical.
Italy is one of our highest-potential markets, and the Dutch and UK portfolios need consistent commercial ownership. Your role is to turn product adoption into long-term partnerships, ensuring clients generate measurable business value while identifying opportunities to grow their use of the platform.
Your impact will be directly visible in client retention, expansion revenue, and platform adoption.
Your Responsibilities
- Own and grow a portfolio of clients in Italy, plus a set of accounts in the Netherlands and the UK.
- Serve as the main point of contact for agencies using Sortlist.
- Drive retention, renewals, expansion, and adoption across the product ecosystem.
- Conduct structured QBRs and define mutual action plans.
- Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Manage churn risks and commercial conversations proactively.
- Maintain a clean pipeline and accurate forecasts in HubSpot.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing,
and Customer Success to improve client outcomes.
- Provide structured feedback from the field to influence product and go-to-market decisions.
- Operate with clear weekly KPIs (meetings, calls, account actions) and strong ownership over results.
Learning & Growth
You'll develop into a strategic Account Management professional by learning how to:
- Drive retention and expansion strategies across multiple markets and cultures.
- Run structured value-driven client conversations and QBRs.
- Translate product adoption signals into commercial opportunities.
- Manage portfolios with strong forecasting and KPI discipline.
Potential growth paths include Senior Account Manager, Strategic/Enterprise Accounts, or Sales/Customer leadership roles.
Your Profile
Must have:
- Native Italian language proficiency, fluent in English (the Dutch and UK portfolios are managed in English). Spanish is a plus.
- 2–5 years experience in B2B Account Management, Customer Success, consultative sales, or similar roles.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Commercial mindset with ownership of retention, expansion, and client outcomes.
- Comfortable working with KPIs, forecasting, and structured pipelines.
- Able to handle renewals, pricing discussions, and value objections.
- Based in Madrid or willing to relocate, and open to a hybrid work model.
Nice to have:
- Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar CRM tools
- Familiarity with growth tools like Overloop
- Analytical mindset and comfort with spreadsheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
- Interest in AI-powered productivity tools
- Exposure to multi-market or international portfolios
Why You'll Love the Role
- Join an international, collaborative team focused on growth.
- Own client relationships and have direct impact on retention and expansion revenue.
- Work across SaaS, marketplaces, and growth technology.
- Professional development: training, workshops, roleplays, and clear growth paths.
- Uncapped commissions: your success is directly rewarded.
- State-of-the-art sales tech stack: HubSpot, Claude, Modjo, Overloop and more.
- Hybrid work: Madrid office 3 days/week, remote up to 2 days.
- Competitive perks: meal vouchers, private health insurance, €1,000 yearly training budget, MacBook Pro, yearly Company Bootcamps and more.
Please Do Not Apply If
- You are looking for a support-only role rather than revenue ownership.
- You prefer not to manage renewals, churn risks, and expansion opportunities.
- You dislike working with KPIs, structured follow-ups, and forecasting.
The Bottom Line
This role will turn you into a multi-market Account Management specialist, combining relationship-building with commercial rigor.
If you enjoy owning outcomes, building trusted partnerships, and driving real customer value, we'd love to hear from you.
