Commercial Manager – Electrical / Data Centre Construction

Location: Spain / Remote with travel across Europe (can be based anywhere)

Salary: €85,000 – €95,000 per annum

Travel Allowance: €800 – €1,000 NET per month

We are recruiting a Commercial Manager to join a specialist contractor delivering major electrical packages across Europe's rapidly expanding data centre and mission-critical construction sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial professional looking to take ownership of multiple projects across Europe while benefiting from a adaptable, remote-based working arrangement from Spain.

Working closely with project delivery teams and senior management, you will be responsible for overseeing the commercial performance of electrical construction packages, managing contractual obligations and ensuring projects are delivered profitably.

The position will involve regular travel to project sites across Europe, with all accommodation and travel expenses provided.

Key Responsibilities

- Take commercial responsibility for electrical construction packages across multiple European projects.
- Manage project budgets, cost reporting, cash flow forecasting and commercial performance.
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, contract negotiations and commercial administration.
- Manage variations, change orders, contractual claims and associated commercial negotiations.
- Prepare and review monthly valuations, payment applications and financial reports.
- Monitor project profitability,



identify commercial risks and implement strategies to protect project margins.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers and site teams to ensure effective commercial control throughout project delivery.
- Manage subcontractor accounts, payment certification and final account negotiations.
- Support tendering, estimating and pre-construction activities where required.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, main contractors, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
- Provide regular commercial updates and strategic advice to senior management.

About You

We are looking for a commercially astute individual with a strong background in specialist construction contracting, ideally within the electrical and data centre sectors.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Proven experience as a Commercial Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor or in a similar commercial leadership position.
- A strong background in electrical contracting, MEP construction or specialist subcontracting.
- Previous experience delivering data centre or other mission-critical construction projects is highly desirable.
- Experience managing the commercial aspects of large-scale construction packages, including procurement, cost control, variations and final accounts.




- Strong contractual knowledge and experience working with international construction contracts.
- Excellent negotiation, financial management and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently within a remote environment.
- Willingness to travel regularly across Europe to support project delivery.
- Strong English communication skills.
