Position Summary TheUNM-Valencia Campus is seeking candidates for temporary, part-time faculty toteach Chicano/a Studies courses. This will be a Fall 2026recruitment.

Located about 30 miles south of Albuquerque in rural Valenciacounty, the University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-year branchcampus of the University of New Mexico which functions as a community collegein the region and is designated a Hispanic Serving Institution. With anemphasis on teaching excellence, Valencia Campus offers academic transferprograms, technical vocational programs, Adult Education, and Dual Credit HighSchool/College courses to Valencia and Socorro.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in Chicano/a Studies or related field





Preferred Qualifications:

- At least one year of experience teaching at a post-secondary institution
- Experience and/or certification to teach online
- A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities

Applicants who are appointed to a UNM faculty position are required to provide an official certification of successful completion of all degree requirements prior to their initial employment with UNM.
