The DevOps Engineer will be a key member of the Personal Productivity Team within the Allianz AI Factory. The role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the CI/CD infrastructure, cloud environments, and automation frameworks that underpin the AI Factory's product delivery.

The engineer will work closely with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, and product owners to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure deployment of AI-driven solutions. Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines for AI and software products. Develop and manage cloud infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent frameworks.

Operate and optimize cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to support AI model training, deployment, and monitoring workloads. Build and manage containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (or equivalent orchestration platforms). Implement end-to-end monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure platform reliability and performance.

Partner with AI engineers, data scientists, and product teams to streamline development workflows and reduce time-to-deployment. Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response and root-cause analysis for platform issues. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with a minimum 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Platform Engineering role.

Proven experience working in an AI/ML or data-intensive engineering environment is strongly preferred.



Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. Proficiency in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP); multi-cloud experience is a plus.

Expert-level knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (Helm, Kustomize).

Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, agile setting. Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or equivalent languages.

Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK stack, or similar observability platforms. Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, secrets management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager), and vulnerability scanning. Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages (German, Spanish) are an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with MLOps platforms (MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI, or Azure ML); Familiarity with AI/LLM deployment patterns (model serving, inference optimisation, A/B testing).; Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA, HashiCorp Terraform Associate).
