A leading global financial institution is undertaking a strategic renewal of its core FX pricing and trading infrastructure. As part of this multi-year transformation, they are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join the Price & Distribution squad , working on mission-critical systems that power FX Options pricing and global trading operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong developer with capital markets exposure to contribute to high-impact, low-latency systems in an Agile, cross-functional environment.

About the Role

You will be embedded in a integral core infrastructure team responsible for the design, development, and enhancement of FX Options pricing platforms. Working closely with traders, quants, product owners, and infrastructure engineers, you will help modernise legacy systems while ensuring stability, performance, and scalability of production services.talan+2

Key responsibilities include

- Developing and maintaining core Java services for pricing, distribution, and trading workflows
- Collaborating in Agile Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives)
- Writing clean, testable code with strong design patterns and SOLID principles
- Participating in manual testing, functional analysis, production support, and incident resolution
- Working across the full SDLC—from requirements gathering through to deployment and monitoring

Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional Java development experience (Java 8 or higher)




- Strong knowledge of Oracle and/or MySQL databases
- Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux environments
- Proficiency with Maven , Jenkins , and Git for CI/CD pipelines
- Solid understanding of clean code , design patterns, and object-oriented principles
- B2+ English (written and spoken) with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams using Jira and Confluence
- Familiarity with messaging and integration technologies: JMS , SOAP , REST , JSON/XML
- Testing expertise: JUnit , Mockito , and automated testing practices
- Capital Markets and/or FX domain knowledge (pricing, trading, or eTrading systems)
- Comfortable in a cross-functional environment , taking ownership across development, testing, analysis, and support
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and ability to self-organise and prioritise effectively

Desirable (Nice-to-Have)
- Experience with FIX protocol for API integration in trading or financial systems
- Exposure to TIBCO (widely used in the project, though rare in the market)
- Knowledge of Apache Velocity , Python , or Spring Boot
- Cloud experience: AWS , OpenShift , or GitHub Actions
- Familiarity with ORM/JPA , OAuth 2.0 , and modern REST API design
- Background in automated testing frameworks and DevOps practices
