As a Senior Software Engineer, you will own backend features for wallet accounts, deposits, balances, and payments within Spendesk’s Wallet squad. You’ll shape technical direction, drive end-to-end delivery, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable scalable, compliant financial services. You work primarily on backend systems with some frontend work, using TypeScript, Node.js, and modern cloud tooling. You’ll apply architectural best practices to complex, multi-entity and multi-currency scenarios, with AI-assisted development as part of daily practice.

• Design, develop, and maintain services for wallet accounts, deposits, balances, cash movements, and payment flows
• Create clear, trustworthy experiences for cash positions to finance teams
• Contribute to liquidity, funding flows, and movement of funds across entities
• Work on international, multi-entity, and multi-currency use cases for wallets
• Contribute to accounting, segregation, reporting,



and operational workflows for compliant financial services
• Define and evolve robust architectures with hexagonal patterns, clear domain boundaries, and strong data consistency

• Promote responsible use of AI-assisted development tools across the team

• 5+ years of software development experience

• Solid architecture knowledge, including microservices and maintainable design
• Ability to lead initiatives with ownership and autonomy
• Product-oriented mindset contributing to discovery, prioritisation, and squad rituals
