In this role you will build scalable backend systems for the Grow & Engage domain, shaping the customer journey from signup to premium membership. You’ll partner with product, tech leads and designers to translate user needs into robust services that power daily engagement. The position blends hands‑on development with architectural exploration in a mission‑driven, cross‑functional environment. You’ll work hybrid in Berlin or Barcelona, contributing to a fast‑paced, innovative fintech team.

- Collaborate with Product Owner, Tech Lead and Designers to translate needs into scalable backend solutions
- Experience developing software with a JVM language and Spring Boot in large-scale production systems (Kotlin a plus)
- Strong understanding of microservice architecture
- Knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL preferred) and non-relational databases
- Experience with modern cloud architecture, preferably AWS
- Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development while maintaining quality
- Product-centric mindset

- Ability to negotiate delivery scope and timelines
