Job Title: Project Manager, Global Services NPDI The Global Services NPDI Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) initiatives that enable the successful launch, service readiness, and general deployment of Vertiv products and service offerings. This role partners with Global Services, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and regional service organizations to ensure that service requirements are incorporated into product development, design transfer, and launch activities.

The Project

The ideal candidate is a strategic, execution-oriented leader who can manage complex, cross-functional programs, identify risks, drive accountability, and translate product and technology initiatives into scalable global service capabilities.

Global

Services PMO The Global Services NPDI Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) initiatives that enable the successful launch, service readiness, and global deployment of Vertiv products and service offerings. This role partners with Global Services, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and regional service organizations to ensure that service requirements are incorporated into product development, design transfer, and launch activities.

The Project

Manager provides end-to-end project leadership, governance, and execution oversight across Hardware + Services NPDI and Service-Only NPDI initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strategic, execution-oriented leader who can manage complex, cross-functional programs, identify risks, drive accountability, and translate product and technology initiatives into scalable global service capabilities.

Global

Services NPDI Project Leadership Lead assigned Hardware + Services NPDI and Service-Only NPDI projects from intake through launch and service readiness. Establish project scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and success criteria. Coordinate cross-functional teams across Global Services, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and regional organizations.

Ensure projects align with business priorities, service strategy, and global deployment requirements. Manage multiple concurrent projects across Vertiv's business units and product portfolios. Drive project execution and accountability across geographically distributed teams.

NPDI Governance and Stage-Gate Management Lead Global Services participation in NPDI governance and stage-gate activities. Ensure service requirements, risks, dependencies, and readiness activities are identified and addressed throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate project reviews, status updates, and gate readiness assessments.

Track required deliverables and ensure appropriate Global Services assessments are completed. Partner with BU PMO leads and Product Managers to align project priorities, ownership, and governance expectations.

Service

Readiness and Launch Execution Develop and manage service readiness plans for new products, technologies, and service offerings.



Coordinate readiness activities involving technical documentation, service procedures, training, tools, spare parts, systems, and regional capabilities. Partner with NPDI Engineers and regional service teams to identify and close readiness gaps.

Ensure service deliverables are aligned with product launch and deployment timelines. Support design transfer, product introduction, and integral service implementation initiatives. Portfolio and Resource Management Support the evaluation and prioritization of new NPDI project intake across the four business units.

Coordinate with BU PMO leads to assess project scope, service involvement, resource requirements, and timing. Maintain accurate project status, milestones, risks, dependencies, and resource information. Identify capacity constraints and coordinate resource planning with Global Services leadership.

Support portfolio reporting and provide visibility into project health, progress, and emerging risks. Contribute to continuous improvement of Global Services PMO processes, standards, and operating models. Cross-Functional and Global Collaboration Serve as the primary Global Services project contact for assigned NPDI initiatives.

Build strong working relationships with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, BU PMOs, and regional service leadership. Facilitate alignment across global and regional stakeholders with competing priorities. Ensure project decisions, actions, and dependencies are clearly communicated.

Promote consistency in service readiness and project execution across regions. Support the development of global standards, playbooks, and repeatable implementation processes.

Digital

Service and Technology Initiatives Lead or support projects involving digital service capabilities, connected products, field technologies, and service transformation. Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving digital workflows, AI-enabled service tools, predictive maintenance, and connected service solutions. Partner with technical teams to manage implementation milestones, dependencies, and deployment readiness.

Support the integration of new technologies into global service operations. Risk Management and Continuous Improvement Maintain project risk, issue, action, and dependency registers. Proactively identify schedule, resource, technical, operational, and service readiness risks.

Develop mitigation plans and coordinate timely resolution of project issues. Drive improvements in project governance, execution discipline, and launch effectiveness. Provide leadership with clear recommendations and escalation paths when project performance is at risk.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, Operations, or a related discipline. ~5+ years of experience in project management, program management, operations, engineering,



product development, or a related field. ~ Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional projects. ~ Experience with new product introduction, product development, service operations, or technology implementation. ~ Strong project planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder management skills. ~ Experience in critical infrastructure, data centers, power systems, thermal management, cooling technologies, or related industries.

Experience with NPDI, stage-gate governance, design transfer, or product lifecycle management.

Experience supporting global service organizations or regional capability development. PMP certification or equivalent project management experience.

Experience managing digital transformation, field technology, or service technology projects. Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Power BI, or similar project management tools.

Experience developing project governance frameworks, operating models, or PMO standards.

Project Leadership: Ability to lead complex initiatives from planning through execution and launch.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to connect project activities to business priorities and global service strategy.

Stakeholder Management: Ability to align cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.

Risk Management: Ability to anticipate challenges and develop effective mitigation strategies.

Global Collaboration: Ability to communicate project status, risks, and decisions clearly to technical and executive audiences. Commitment to improving project execution, governance, and service readiness. Up to 25% travel, including domestic and international travel, based on project and business requirements.
