Overview In this role you design and implement Rust-based services that power Kraken’s core infrastructure, focusing on correctness, security, and maintainability. You will build scalable, observable, and fault-tolerant backend systems used by global trading and internal platforms. You collaborate with a broad engineering team to uphold high standards of reliability and ownership in a regulated, security-sensitive environment.

Responsabilidades Design and implement robust Rust services and foundational libraries for core infrastructure Write reusable, testable, and efficient code optimized for scale, observability, and resilience Collaborate on large-scale distributed systems architecture to support general trading Engage with a large team of Rust engineers, upholding ownership, rigor,



and craftsmanship Take end-to-end ownership of systems and libraries Requisitos principales ~7+ years of software engineering experience ~ Experience building and scaling shared systems and internal platforms ~ Proficient in writing network services or asynchronous code in Rust ~ Security-first mindset in system design ~ Ability to autonomously debug issues across OS, network, and application layers ~ Solid understanding of distributed systems, RPC protocols, Kafka, and Event-Driven Systems ~ Collaborate effectively with product teams to gather requirements and constraints ~ Take complete end-to-end ownership of systems and libraries collaboration ownership rigor Rust network services / asynchronous Rust distributed systems
