Overview In this Senior Underwriter Property role, you will underwrite complex property risks and manage new and renewal business, collaborating with brokers and clients to support profitable portfolio growth aligned with the Business Plan. You'll foster high-quality broker and client relationships and contribute to risk management and reporting. The position is regulated under the Central Bank of Ireland regime, highlighting the professional standards expected.

This is an opportunity to influence underwriting strategy within a leading general insurer and work across cross-functional teams. You will be based in Madrid or Barcelona, contributing to AXA XL's mission of solving complex risks.

Responsabilidades Review submissions (applications, policy wording, inspection reports, loss runs, financial reports) to assess risk level

Calculate risk premium considering sector risk costs, reinsurance cessions,



and underwriting/administration costs to protect profitability

Advise and service clients on insurance and risk management needs to ensure satisfaction

Manage relationships to enable cross-selling and account retention

Ensure timely implementation of new and renewing accounts per quality standards

Support business planning and forecasting, monitor financial exposure and premium income within limits

Maintain awareness of advised claims and contribute to settlements when needed

Requisitos principales Good knowledge of the insurance market and advanced experience in Property Insurance

Excellent communication in English and Spanish

Business development capability with negotiation and growth-driving skills

Ability to make swift, data-based decisions and maintain focus on long-term goals
