Overview In this role you will be the SAM subject matter expert, guiding complex software licensing across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will manage licensing for major vendors, ensuring compliance and value realization, while leveraging data from tools like Azure AD, CMDB, and Intune to support cost allocation and reporting. You will drive cost savings, strengthen SAM controls, and lead negotiations with vendors and cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

Serve as SAM expert, advising on licensing topics and producing effective license positions (ELPs) across diverse environments

Manage and optimize licensing for major vendors (Microsoft, Oracle, Broadcom, IBM, SAP, Red Hat) with a focus on compliance and business value

Interpret licensing concepts and rights across containers, cloud, and traditional infrastructure

Leverage data from enterprise systems (Azure AD, CMDB, My Access, Intune) to support SAM activities, billing, cost allocation, and reporting

Ensure transparency of software costs through chargeback processes and fair allocation to Business Units and Service Owners





Build relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors; lead negotiations for mutual benefit

Identify and implement initiatives to generate cost savings, reduce compliance risk, and improve SAM processes and controls

Lead complex software contract negotiations (demand management, renewals, amendments) with sourcing, legal, and vendor management

Support implementation and continuous improvement of general SAM standards, governance, and performance metrics

Drive SAM innovation using AI and automation to reduce manual work and identify trends and optimization opportunities

Contribute to day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives of the global SAM team to deliver high-quality services

Requisitos principales 3+ years of experience managing software portfolios for at least one major publisher in an enterprise setting

Experience creating optimized ELPS from data collection to completion

Strong understanding of license restrictions, benefits, and optimization opportunities

Proficient with SAM tools (preferably FlexeraOne) and supporting data sources

Advanced MS Excel skills (V/HLOOKUPs, Pivots, advanced calculations)

Proven track record of adopting AI solutions in SAM operations

P&L; calculations and cost accruals

Fluent written and spoken English (B2+ minimum)
