As a Senior Software Engineer, you design, build, and run scalable backend services and APIs that power product experiences and critical workflows. You collaborate with cross-functional partners to enhance performance, reliability, and observability. You mentor engineers and contribute to architecture decisions, helping the team deliver high-impact solutions. This role sits in Dow Jones Technology, shaping digital experiences for readers and users at scale.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Design, build, and own reliable backend services, APIs, and platform components end-to-end
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and QA to translate requirements into technical solutions and improve monitoring and observability
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architecture decisions and engineering standards

Responsabilidades




• 4–6+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend or platform environments
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Python
• Deep experience with AWS, Linux, CI/CD, microservices, and distributed systems
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Redis) and familiarity with data platforms and pipelines
• Knowledge of Snowflake and modern data orchestration, transformation, and modeling practices
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills aligning technical work with business goals
