Experteer Overview
As a Principal Software Engineer on the Elasticsearch - Search Infra team, you define and drive the core search infrastructure for Elasticsearch. You will shape the long-term technical direction, contribute to indexing, retrieval, and relevance, and mentor a global group of engineers. You’ll turn research in search internals into scalable, high-performance systems and collaborate with product teams to align roadmap with user needs. This role offers the chance to influence a widely-used platform that powers search at scale and enables real-time AI-driven insights. You will work autonomously across distributed teams to deliver impactful, technically solid foundations.

Responsabilidades
• Experience leading technical projects in search infrastructure and distributed systems
• Proven ability to build and operate sophisticated search platforms and robust software
• Experience mentoring expert engineers
• Ability to define a long-term technical vision for core search or retrieval systems
• Hands-on with Elasticsearch, Lucene, or Solr
• Strong Java skills, knowledge of data structures and concurrency, familiarity with lambdas
• Experience with large-scale data or search systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication; comfortable collaborating across distributed teams
