Experteer Overview
As Senior Ontologist for Biologics Discovery, you will design and govern semantic models that connect biologics data across discovery activities. You’ll enable AI-ready data, knowledge graphs, and semantic search by translating biological concepts into reusable ontologies and vocabularies. You’ll collaborate with scientists, engineers, and platform teams to ensure enterprise standards and cross-team adoption. This role shapes how biologics knowledge is captured and leveraged to accelerate medicines for patients. You’ll be at a strategic cross-functional interface, aligning discovery data with governance and downstream development.

• Design, release, and maintain ontology modules and vocabularies across biologics domains
• Publish API-ready semantic assets for knowledge graphs and AI/ML workflows
• Collaborate with scientists to translate complex biology into computable models
• Define ontology standards, naming conventions, and governance rules
• Embed semantic layers into data pipelines and knowledge graph platforms
• Enable entity linking, provenance capture,



and semantic search across datasets
• Develop SPARQL queries and automated semantic validation
• Align semantics with enterprise governance and downstream development teams
• Drive consensus on ontology scope and adoption across scientific and informatics teams

Responsabilidades
• Advanced degree in relevant field
• 3+ years in ontology engineering, knowledge modeling, or knowledge graph development
• Hands-on experience with ontology release workflows and versioning
• Proficiency in OWL, RDF(S), SKOS, SHACL, SPARQL
• Experience with graph/semantic tech (Neo4j, GraphDB, Amazon Neptune, Stardog, Protégé)
• Ability to translate scientific discussions into semantic models and delivery plans
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication
• Knowledge of AI grounding via semantic models (RAG/GraphRAG)
