Job purpose: This role serves as a crucial link between IOM staff and beneficiaries, ensuring effective communication and understanding within a reception center. The purpose is to facilitate access to rights, services, and information for migrants by overcoming language and cultural barriers. By providing interpretation, translation, and intercultural mediation, the position supports the protection, legal assistance, community engagement, health, and center management teams. It aims to foster a respectful and inclusive environment,

Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include facilitating effective communication between IOM staff and beneficiaries through oral interpretation and written translation. The role involves supporting various teams (protection, legal assistance, community engagement, health, center management) by ensuring mutual understanding. This includes interpreting and mediating in languages spoken by the migrant population, ensuring beneficiaries understand their rights, available services, procedures, and relevant information.
