At House of ABY, we are launching a brand-new software development team in Barcelona to support one of our key clients, a general leader in energy technology.

We are looking for a Tech Lead who wants to join us from day one, take ownership of the technical direction and help us build a high-performing engineering team from scratch.

What will you do?

Lead & grow the team
- Help recruit and build a team of five engineers.
- Define technical standards, development practices and ways of working.
- Mentor engineers and lead code reviews.
- Create a strong engineering culture focused on quality, ownership and continuous improvement.

Own the technical architecture
- Design scalable, secure and resilient AWS architectures.
- Define high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
- Lead threat modeling and embed security into the architecture from the beginning.
- Drive technical decisions across Python, React and AWS.
- Translate complex requirements into clear architecture diagrams and technical roadmaps.

Bring software into an industrial environment




- Integrate software risk management into NPI (New Product Introduction) processes.
- Contribute to FMEA activities and ensure software solutions meet industrial safety and reliability requirements.
- Champion DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability and reliable deployments.
- Collaborate within a SAFe environment, including PI Planning and cross-team coordination.

Become a technical partner
- Act as the technical point of contact between the development team and international stakeholders.
- Understand engineering and business needs and translate them into pragmatic technical solutions.
- Balance architecture, delivery, security, reliability and business priorities.
