You will help maintain the safe and reliable operation of vital utility systems, supporting the Shift Control Engineer across steam, gas, water, compressed air and high‑voltage (HV) electrical infrastructure. What you will doAs a key member of our Energy team, you will deliver a wide range of mechanical engineering activities across site, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with engineering and legislative requirements.



You will deliver mechanical maintenance across the Energy plant and support HV and fluid power activities once trained.Your key responsibilities will include:Carrying out mechanical maintenance, repairs, and fault‑finding across Energy and Manufacturing operations.Ensuring all work complies with Health & Safety requirements, engineering standards, and permit‑to‑work procedures.Developing a strong understanding of fluid power and electrical systems, eventually becoming authorised to issue permits.Responding to engineering, safety, and quality issues, taking corrective action or escalating where required.Participating fully in team activities, using your skills flexibly to meet business objectives.Working closely with, and where required supervising, additional resources to support maintenance activities.Actively contributing to improvements in plant performance through continuous improvement principles.Supporting the Shift Control Engineer in delivering a reliable and efficient service to internal customers.What you will needWe’
