Experteer Overview
In this role, you will design and govern semantic models that connect biologics data across discovery domains, enabling machine-readable knowledge and AI-ready pipelines. You will serve as a cross-functional translator, shaping ontologies used by scientists and AI systems to find, reuse, and reason about data. You’ll balance scientific accuracy with practical usability, driving enterprise semantic standards across teams. This is a rare opportunity to define the semantic backbone for Biologics Discovery and enable faster, better medicines.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Design, release and govern ontology modules, vocabularies, and mappings across biologics discovery domains
• Publish API-ready ontology packages for data products and AI/ML workflows
• Collaborate with biologists and automation teams to convert complex concepts into computable models
• Define ontologies using OWL/RDF, SKOS, SHACL and establish semantic standards
• Embed semantic layers into data pipelines and knowledge graphs with data engineers
• Support entity linking, provenance, and semantic search across datasets for AI-retrieval
• Develop SPARQL queries and automated validation of semantic coverage and lineage
• Align biologics semantics with enterprise governance and downstream (CMC) data




• Drive consensus on ontology scope and adoption across scientific and informatics teams
• Apply modeling guidelines and change management within enterprise governance

Responsabilidades
• Advanced degree in Biomedical Informatics, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
• 3+ years in ontology engineering, knowledge modeling, taxonomy design, semantic standards, or knowledge graph development
• Hands-on experience with versioning, change management, validation, and release workflows for ontology assets
• Proficiency with OWL, RDF(S), SKOS, SHACL, SPARQL, and ontology design patterns
• Experience with graph/semantic technologies (e.g., Neo4j, GraphDB, Amazon Neptune, Stardog, Protégé)
• Ability to translate scientific discussions into semantic models and align semantics across teams
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration in a matrixed Ru0026D environment
• Working knowledge of grounding AI and agentic retrieval (semantic search, RAG, GraphRAG)
