We're looking for a motivated Internal Auditor who specialises in financial crime to support regulatory audits. You'll be executing internal audits and adapting your skills to auditing new subject matter.
Job Responsibilities
- Up to shape what's next in finance? Developing and executing audit programmes under internal policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards
- Optimising data usage in the audit process to enhance risk understanding and deliver pertinent insights
- Providing input and assisting in identifying relevant risks and regulatory requirements for audit scopes
- Interacting with staff to obtain a comprehensive understanding of relevant risks, controls, and processes
- Developing audit reports that identify deficiencies and root causes while providing recommendations that add value
- Conducting research and completing assigned training requirements to maintain professional relevance
- Partnering with business units to develop recommendations for process optimisation, internal control, and compliance
- Performing follow-up reviews of deficiencies noted during previous audits
- Monitoring audit progress against timelines and managing projects to completion, escalating where required
Experience & Qualifications
- 3+ xbhjioe years of experience in an audit-related role within a regulated financial services environment
- ~ Familiarity with financial crime controls, such as KYC/KYB, due diligence, transaction monitoring, and sanctions screening
- ~ Motivation to learn, grow, and have an immediate impact as part of an expanding team
Education & Technical Skills
- An undergraduate or master's degree in a quantitative discipline
- Proficiency working with and interpreting data using SQL, SAS, or Python
