IT Security Analyst

Summary

This position will be part of Signode’s IT Security Operations Center (SOC) team and will be responsible for all internal security operations tasks as they pertain to the Security Operations Center. This position will be expected to work alongside the team to detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents, as well as working towards improving SOC processes.

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in incident response, malware analysis, and threat intelligence.

Essential Functions

Monitoring of security alerts through ITSM platforms

Respond to security alerts, utilizing open-source intelligence to enrich investigations with meaningful information

Monitoring, evaluating, and profiling of cyber threats to the organization

Proactively hunt security threats and anomalies on the network

Analyze malware statically and dynamically in a sandbox environment

Stay up to date with the latest threat attack vectors and countermeasures

Develop and maintain documentation on SOC processes and procedures

Serve as part of an on‑call support rota

Position Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in IT

Cybersecurity Certifications

Experience:

1-2+ years in a hands‑on technical role in cyber security operations

1-2+ years’ experience within an internal SOC or an MSSP

Knowledge of Microsoft Azure environments and solutions

Experience working with and analyzing logs related to IDPS, EDR, and firewall solutions

Solid understanding of:

Malware analysis

Endpoint and network digital forensics

Security detection rules

Best security practices and frameworks

**The Program**
The **Nestlé Internal Audit program** , of approximately 4 years, provides a unique opportunity to get to know IT functions and processes across the globe. IT Auditors travel around 50% of the time, according to a fixed calendar. By using proven methodologies, tools and data analytics,



auditors provide value added risk assurance and improvement recommendations.

**What you'll do**
+ Scan the network to identify "interesting" devices, open ports and vulnerabilities;
+ Evaluate systems security - assess switch configs, firewall rules, OS hardening, databases, cloud platforms, SAP;
+ Evaluate security of websites, databases, cloud platforms, applications;
+ Write Powershell scripts to query AD and analyze extractions using R, Python or.;
+ Communicate with everyone in the organization to present your findings and agree remediating actions;

**Minimum qualifications**
+ 2-4 years experience in this area;
+ "Hands‑on" IT experience and in-depth knowledge of some of the following areas: Cyber Security, Pen‑testing, SAP, Database Management,



IT Network, IT Operations, IT Systems (Windows, UNIX), Cloud environments (Azure, AWS, etc.), Active Directory;
+ Scripting/programming and network scanning (e.g., Powershell, nmap, Python, C/C++);
+ Strong analytical skills (e.g., using R Python, and MS Excel) - be comfortable analyzing millions of rows of data;
+ Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Mathematics degree or equivalent;
+ Working proficiency in English (written and oral), any additional language is an asset;
+ Strong ability to work both independently and within an international team;
+ Ability to take initiative and meet steep learning curve requirement;
+ Willingness to travel internationally 40-50% of time (worldwide) - flexible.
