Our client is a leading global automotive manufacturer undergoing an exciting transformation, with a strong international footprint across Europe, the Americas and Asia. To support its continued growth, the company is looking to appoint an Global Indirect Procurement Director based in Madrid.

You will lead the development and execution of the indirect procurement strategy across multiple regions, driving operational excellence, cost optimization and supplier performance within a highly international manufacturing environment.

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for managing a significant procurement organization and partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance and other key business functions.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and deploy the global indirect procurement strategy.
- Lead and develop an international procurement team across multiple countries.
- Manage high-value procurement spend while delivering ambitious cost-saving targets.
- Drive procurement transformation, governance and process standardization initiatives.
- Build strategic relationships with key integral suppliers and negotiate complex agreements.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to support business growth and operational excellence.
- Ensure procurement compliance, risk management and sustainability objectives are achieved.

Candidate Profile
- Extensive procurement leadership experience within the automotive industry is essential.
- Background gained in an OEM or Tier 1 automotive supplier.
- Proven experience managing large procurement spend and delivering measurable cost savings.
- Strong exposure to indirect procurement categories within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading international and multicultural procurement teams.
- Demonstrated success in procurement transformation, strategic sourcing and supplier management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at executive level.
- Fluent English is required; additional languages are an advantage.
