Job Summary:

We are seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Hardware Design Engineer to join our hardware engineering team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional engineering teams and external partners to support robust server platform hardware design and development. You will be responsible for schematic capture, circuit design, PCB layout review, board bring-up, and laboratory validation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Schematic Capture & Circuit Design: Responsible for schematics bring up, select components, design-rule checks (DRC) and BOM check.

- Layout review & Signal Integrity/Power Integrity: Work closely with PCB layout and SI team to review component placement, routing, signal/power integrity results and ensure compliance with design requirements.

- Bench Bring-Up & Lab Testing: Perform hands-on bring-up, signal verification, and function testing, and design validation test (DVT). Use software tools in multiple operating systems.

- Cross-Functional Debug & Support: Collaborate with cross-function teams on design process, trouble shoot hardware/software issues and support debug on production and customer issues.

- Documentation & Data Analysis: Provide clear documents and strong technical supports to the contract manufacturers and production department during the product samples and production stages. Create and maintain bill of materials (BOMs), test procedures, validation reports, and issue-tracking logs.

Qualifications:





- Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering. Master’s degree is preferred.

- Experience: 0–2 years of hardware development experience focusing on board-level design.

Experience on server board is a plus.

- Technical Proficiencies:

- Solid knowledge of circuit design and computer architecture.

- Hands-on proficiency with schematic capture and EDA design tools (e.g., Cadence Allegro Design Entry HDL / OrCAD Capture, Altium Designer).

- Comprehensive knowledge on the PCB layout, debugging tools and software.

- Practical laboratory test and measurement skills using digital oscilloscopes, current probes.

- Familiarity with management interfaces and buses (e.g. I2C, SPI, UART).

- Basic knowledge of DC-DC power converter, protection circuitry (OVP, OCP, UVP).

- PCIe high-speed signal design related knowledge.

- Outstanding problem-solving capabilities and strong debugging skills.

- Communication & Collaboration:

- Self-motivated, team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong problem-solving skills, organizational abilities, and a willing to learn and adapt to new technologies.

- Strong teamwork and communication skills.

- Effective verbal/written technical communication skills.

Salary Range

$90,000 - $105,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
