The Role

Stark sells motorcycles across Europe, North America and beyond, with legal entities in several countries. That means a steady flow of VAT returns, intrastat declarations, withholding obligations and information requests, all on deadlines that do not move.

As Finance Intern, Tax, you support the team that keeps those obligations on time and correct. This is a learning role with real files attached to it. You will prepare returns rather than watch them being prepared, and you will see how a growing manufacturer handles cross-border tax in practice rather than in a textbook.

You will be mentored by the Finance team and work closely with our external tax advisers. Nobody expects you to arrive knowing Spanish VAT law. We expect you to be accurate, curious, and willing to chase an answer until the numbers tie out.

What You’ll Do

Indirect tax and filings

- Help prepare periodic VAT/IVA returns, intrastat declarations and other recurring filings for our Spanish entity,



and support the equivalent obligations in our other jurisdictions.

- Pull and check the underlying data from Business Central, and investigate anything that looks off before it reaches a return.

- Maintain the filing calendar so that no deadline is a surprise.

Reconciliations and documentation

- Reconcile tax accounts in the general ledger and follow up on differences.

- Keep the supporting documentation for each filing organised and complete, so an audit or an adviser’s question can be answered quickly.

- Help maintain the records supporting transfer pricing and intercompany transactions.

Support and improvement

- Prepare information packs for external advisers and respond to their routine queries.

- Help gather evidence for tax audits and information requests.

- Spot the steps that are done by hand every month and propose a better way to do them.

What you will bring to Stark
- Studying towards, or recently finished, a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or Law with a tax focus.

- Genuine interest in tax as a specialism, not just as a route into finance generally.

- Comfortable in Excel: lookups, pivot tables, and the habit of sense-checking your own output.

- Accuracy and a zero-defect mindset. Filings are either right or they are late.

- Strong written and spoken English. Spanish is a real advantage here, given the Spanish filings.

- Available to work on-site in Sant Boi, Barcelona.

Nice to have





- Exposure to an ERP, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

- Coursework or a prior internship touching VAT, corporate tax or statutory reporting.

- An interest in motorcycles, motorsport or the energy transition.
