How does genome architecture shape expression of long genes and neuronal identity?

RESEARCH PROJECT

The successful candidate will investigate how chromatin architecture influences the expression and processing of long genes, with a particular focus on the interplay between 3D genome organization, chromatin dynamics, transcription of long genes, co-transcriptional RNA splicing, and gene regulatory mechanisms that shape neuronal cell identity and neurodevelopmental disorders.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WITH:

The successful candidate will investigate how chromatin architecture influences the expression and processing of long genes, with a particular focus on the interplay between 3D genome organization, chromatin dynamics, transcription of long genes, co-transcriptional RNA splicing,



and gene regulatory mechanisms that shape neuronal cell identity and neurodevelopmental disorders.

- - Phd in life sciences, bioinformatics or a related field

- Strong publication record relative to career stage

- Experience in chromatin biology, gene regulation,

- RNA splicing, neurodevelopment or bioinformatics

- Excellent communication skills and motivation to
- work in an interdisciplinary environment

Eligibility criteria: Applicants must have obtained their PhD degree after 1 January 2022 xugodme and must not have completed their PhD at an institution in the Valencian Community
