Context of the Position

As part of our rapid international infrastructure expansion across Europe, JD Logistics is establishing its core transport and freight network in Spain. We are seeking a fully certified Transport Manager to assume legal, operational, and regulatory oversight of our Spanish road freight operations.

This position serves as the statutory backbone of our Spanish transportation license (Capacidad Profesional para el Transporte de Mercancías por Carretera), ensuring total compliance with national transport laws while driving high-performance carrier and fleet operations.

The Mission & Core Scope

- The Mission: Lead end-to-end road freight transport activities, carrier procurement, CMR documentation, and fleet compliance across Spain, ensuring complete legal adherence to Spanish transport regulations (LOTT / ROTT).
- The Scope: You will act as the statutory Transport Manager for the entity, managing carrier relationships, risk management frameworks, transport documentation compliance, and local linehaul execution.

Statutory Requirements & Mandatory Qualifications To fulfill the mandatory statutory requirements under Spanish transport law, candidates must strictly meet the following core criteria:

1. Professional Competence Certificate:



Must be a natural person holding the official Certificate of Professional Competence for Road Freight Transport (Título de Capacitación/Competencia Cualificado para el Transporte de Mercancías por Carretera) recognized by Spanish transport authorities.
2. Social Security Registration: Must be employed full-time under a direct contract and registered in the Spanish General Social Security System (Régimen General de la Seguridad Social), under Contribution Group (Grupo de Cotización) 1, 2, or 3.
3. Good Reputation (Honorabilidad): Must meet and maintain all statutory "good reputation" (honorabilidad) requirements as defined under current Spanish transport legislation.

Crucial Expectations & Performance Targets The successful candidate will be evaluated on the following key operational metrics during the initial 6 to 12 months:

1. Regulatory & License Compliance: Maintain 100% audit-ready transport documentation (CMR, carrier licenses, insurance policies, cabotage rules) in compliance with LOTT/ROTT.
2. Carrier Quality & Risk Management: Establish rigorous vetting protocols for third-party carriers (3PLs) and linehaul partners, mitigating operational and legal transport risks.
3. Transport Performance & On-Time Delivery:



Oversee linehaul and middle-mile routing to meet corporate targets for carrier SLA compliance and transit punctuality.
4. Administrative Integration: Work closely with legal and HR teams to maintain full regulatory synchronization between transport operations and corporate filings.

Position Requirements

- Experience: 3 to 5 years of consolidated experience in road freight management, 3PL carrier management, or transport operations within Spain.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth familiarity with Spanish transport legislation (LOTT/ROTT), driver tachograph/hours regulations, and freight contract structures.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in Spanish (written and spoken) is mandatory for interacting with local authorities and carriers; English proficiency is required for international corporate reporting. (Mandarin is a strong plus).
- Systems Literacy: Proficiency in Transport Management Systems (TMS), fleet tracking platforms, and MS Excel.
