Support effective regional applicability and adoption of global Travel & Expense governance by connecting global direction with country-level requirements, local environments, and implementation realities.

Role Purpose

The Regional Travel & Expense Lead represents the regional perspective across the end-to-end Travel & Expense ecosystem and ensures that approved global governance, processes, and solutions are practically applicable across countries.

The role consolidates regional requirements, identifies risks, barriers, and deviations, and provides structured feedback to global owners. It does not own global policy, system administration, or operational execution, which remain with the relevant governance, system, and delivery organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

Directive Applicability and Country Input

- Assess and consolidate regional and local applicability requirements for global Travel & Expense directives, governance decisions, and framework changes
- Coordinate country input on legal, tax, works council, compliance, and market-specific considerations with the relevant local and functional stakeholders
- Surface material deviations, implementation dependencies, and required exceptions, and channel them through defined governance and escalation paths

End-to-End Traveler Journey Stewardship

- Ensure a seamless and compliant end-to-end traveler journey across planning, booking, trip execution, expense submission, reimbursement, reporting, and post-trip controls
- Identify process gaps, traveler pain points, compliance risks, and handover issues across the complete Travel & Expense lifecycle
- regional feedback

Travel & Expense Technology and Process Adoption

- Provide structured regional input on Travel & Expense tools, Concur Expense environments, and related end-to-end processes
- Coordinate country feedback, local dependencies, feasibility considerations, compliance controls,



and adoption risks for Concur Travel, Concur Expense, and related process changes
- Consolidate recurring pain points, user feedback, usability concerns, and cross-country issues for the relevant global owners, GBS, and service providers
- The role does not configure, administer, approve, or technically manage Travel & Expense systems

Communication and Training Enablement

- Collaborate with the Communication & Training Lead to ensure regionally applicable rollout and adoption without owning integral strategy, content, or approvals

Required Experience:

Deep practical expertise in Travel & Expense processes, including expense policies, auditing, reimbursement, compliance controls, exception handling, VAT/tax implications, and Concur Expense environments
- Candidates should demonstrate practical exposure to both travel and expense processes rather than specialization in only one domain
- Strong understanding of how travel booking processes interact with downstream expense, reimbursement, reporting, and control processes
- Experience in regional governance, process adoption, stakeholder alignment, and global-to-local translation in complex multi-country environments

Scope and Interfaces:

Regional interface between global HR OPS, countries/local HR OPS, Finance, Procurement, HR, Compliance, Tax, GBS, service providers, and other relevant stakeholders. The role focuses on country input, regional applicability, process adoption, expense compliance, reimbursement considerations, and structured feedback into the global Travel & Expense framework.

Global ownership remains with the relevant governance and business owner roles, while execution in tools and processes remains with GBS or other delivery providers.
