The primary mission of the License Compliance specialist is to support and contribute to the strategies of the anti-piracy and compliance program through the investigation, development and management of leads derived from information provided by internal/external sources. Maximize prejudice recovery through amicable negotiation and follow through on those leads in partnership with the sales channels ultimately driving revenue from this activity.

Permanent position based in Barcelona, Spain.

Missions

- Develop the supporting infrastructure necessary to the effective growth of the Anti-Piracy and Compliance Program
- Review, develop and enhance the supporting infrastructure for legal support, in collaboration with DS legal teams, in terms of settlement agreements, letters of engagement (LoE) and powers of attorney (PoAs)
- Review, develop and enhance the supporting infrastructure for the engagement of third parties who have been engaged to support or advance the strategy of the anti-piracy and compliance program
- Monitor, control and coordinate activities amongst investigation firms, audit firms and law firms in compliance-related actions within the region of designated responsibility
- Maintain close liaison with, and provide a responsive and decisive local point of contact for, Sales Channel leaders and Regional/Industry and Brand Sales Managers in support of the objectives of the Program




- Generate and investigate quality leads within across the Region using all available resources
- Issue soft and standard compliance letters in respect of qualified leads. Follow up with phone calls and visits, where appropriate. Issue reminder letters to non-responders. Draft tailored letters, where appropriate
- Provide direct responses to compliance actions to the appropriate party, if necessary
- Work closely with the business to ensure that compliance leads are entered into and maintained in appropriate systems timely and accurate manner. Manage, populate and maintain the Case Management System in a timely and accurate manner

Qualifications

- Should be educated to degree level and have experience in a role that required a focus on analytical activities
- Communication skills - both orally and in writing
- Leadership skills – ability to bring people together from diverse disciplines and control/influence successful decision making
- Negotiation Skills – ability to manage and bring people to a consensus
- Able to manage conflict through to a successful conclusion in respect of the other parties involved
- Enthusiastic and committed to the role
- Willing to take on multiple tasks and manage them successfully
- Able to prioritize despite influence from others
- Arabic language would be a very valuable asset
- French language would be a plus
