Join Axpo in Madrid as an Application Security Lead to support the secure adoption and governance of emerging technologies across business and technology environments. This high-impact role combines cybersecurity engineering, security architecture, regulatory compliance, and operational enablement to ensure technologies are implemented securely, responsibly, and in alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
What you will do:
- Design, implement, and continuously improve governance and security frameworks across the organization.
- Define and maintain security guardrails, governance principles, and operational controls for AI platforms, tools, and workflows.
- Develop standards and technical guidance related to AI security and responsible AI usage.
- Design and support implementation of security controls, including sandboxing, identity and access management, secret management, and secure API usage.
- Conduct risk assessments and security reviews, addressing threats such as prompt injection, jailbreak techniques, and context leakage.




- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including EU AI Act, GDPR, Swiss FADP, and NIS2.
- Provide awareness and training initiatives focused on secure and responsible AI usage.

What you bring & who you are:
- Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, cloud security, or technology governance roles.
- Strong fundamentals in application security, cloud security (Azure preferred), DevSecOps, or endpoint security.
- Practical experience with Linux namespaces, seccomp, AppArmor, OAuth 2.0/OIDC, and secret management platforms.
- Working knowledge of AI security risks, including prompt injection, jailbreak techniques, and context leakage.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, EU AI Act, and Swiss FADP.
- Certifications like CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or Azure Security certificat
