Taylor Hopkinson is supporting a leading company operating in the renewable energy sector in the search for an Accounting Specialist to join its Italian team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of day-to-day accounting activities, supporting the preparation of periodic financial information and contributing to the timely completion of statutory and tax-related requirements. The role will involve close collaboration with internal finance stakeholders as well as external advisors, auditors and other professional partners. Manage and monitor day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded and properly supported.
Perform regular checks and reconciliations across general ledger accounts, banks and other balance sheet items.
Prepare accounting documentation and supporting schedules for financial reporting purposes.
Support the management of Italian tax and accounting compliance requirements, coordinating with external advisors where required.
Work closely with external accountants, tax consultants and auditors,



providing the necessary information and documentation.
Monitor outstanding accounting items and ensure issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
Support financial planning activities by providing accurate accounting information for budgeting and forecasting.
Maintain well-organised accounting records and ensure documentation is complete and readily available for audit and compliance purposes.
Contribute to the improvement and standardisation of accounting processes and internal procedures.
Provide support to the wider finance team on ad hoc accounting and reporting activities.
Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; an accounting diploma will also be considered.
At least 4 years of professional experience in accounting.
Solid understanding of Italian accounting principles and tax requirements.
Practical experience with general ledger accounting
