Internal Vacancy: Permanent Watch Manager B, Incident Command Training Co-ordinator
A permanent vacancy has arisen at Watch Manager B in the role of Incident Command Training Co-ordinator. The post is based in the Training & Development Centre at Kempston, with start date anticipated in October 2026.

- Transfers of current substantive Watch Manager Bs

Applications for appointment on transfer are invited from Substantive Wholetime Duty System Watch Manager Bs
- Appointments on promotion

Applications for appointment on promotion are invited from substantive Wholetime Duty System Crew Managers who meet the following criteria:
- are in the WM talent pool,



having successfully passed the Watch Manager gateway or holding a current pass for the Supervisory Manager In-band PQA process and Post In-band Interview and hold the relevant technical examinations (Refer V09 01/03 Technical Examinations for Operational and Control Roles).
- are in the WM temporary pool, having undertaken the Watch Manager gateway and eligible for temporary appointment only
- are competent Crew Commanders, with a background or interest in Incident Command.

Expressions of interest will be welcomed from those wishing to transfer at their existing Crew Manager role, but anyone looking to join in the role above on promotion will need to complete a Watch Manager promotion gateway process, and enter the Watch Manager talent pool to be eligible for substantive appointment in post. (Applicants will be required to undertake the next WM gateway process, or complete any outstanding elements at the next available opportunity).
