We are looking for an Optical Fiber Sensors Engineer – FOG Integration & Test to join our Photonics and Quantum Sensing team and contribute to the development of high-performance Fiber Optic Gyroscope technologies. This is a strongly hands-on laboratory role, focused on the implementation, assembly, integration, characterization and testing of optical fiber sensing systems and FOG subsystems.



The successful candidate will initially contribute to the development and validation of a high-performance FOG-based inertial system and will subsequently continue working on the experimental development and performance improvement of next-generation Fiber Optic Gyroscopes and advanced inertial sensing technologies. Tasks to be performed Build, assemble and integrate optical fiber sensing subsystems and FOG experimental setups. Perform fusion splicing, preparation, handling and integration of specialty optical fibers. Support the assembly and integration of optical fiber coils and other FOG photonic components. Set up and operate optical laboratory equipment and experimental test benches. Design and execute characterization campaigns for FOGs and optical fiber sensing subsystems. Characterize parameters such as noise, bias stability, scale factor behavior, thermal sensitivity and repeatability.
