The Tax Engine team is hiring a Sr. Sales and Use Tax expert with NA expertise to join our General Tax Calculation Services team based in Barcelona. The Global Tax Calculation Services Program is comprised of tax professionals and software engineers that are responsible for providing end-to-end global transaction tax calculation solutions (sales and use taxes, value-added taxes, good and services taxes, and other consumption taxes). The individual in this role will contribute with critical tax research and classification work for NA Sales and Use Tax product and services taxability research,



taking ownership on end-to-end cross-functional tax-related projects and process improvements. This position will work closely with local business partners and rest of members of the tax department providing guidance and support to Global Product Classification. This position is office-based. Supporting and maintaining local and global Sales and Use Tax content
Conducting comprehensive Sales and Use Tax research across US and Canada
Supporting and providing ongoing maintenance and enhancements to tax calculation software;
Translating Sales and Use Tax legislation into technical requirements for Engineering, Applied Science, and Product teams
Providing support to the end-to-end Global transaction tax calculation solutions for a broad array of products and services
Providing technical advice on indirect tax rates applicable to Amazon's catalogue based on the research of tax laws, regulations and jurisdiction changes
