About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly competent Remote Broadcast Technician to join their growing media production team. This role requires an individual with a strong technical aptitude for managing and troubleshooting broadcast equipment and systems, all within a fully remote setup. You will be integral to ensuring the seamless delivery of audio and video content for various Arts & Entertainment projects, supporting live streams, recorded broadcasts, and digital content production. This position offers the ultimate flexibility, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere, enabling our Queenstown -based client to extend its reach and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain broadcast equipment, including cameras, switchers, audio mixers, and transmission systems.
- Provide technical support for live streaming events and recorded productions, ensuring high-quality audio and video output.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during broadcasts or production processes.
- Collaborate with producers, directors,



and content creators to understand technical requirements and implement solutions.
- Manage signal flow, encoding, and decoding for various broadcast platforms.
- Stay updated on the latest broadcast technologies, trends, and best practices in media production.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Broadcast Technician , Video Engineer, or in a related technical role within media production.
- Strong understanding of video and audio signal flow, broadcast standards, and transmission protocols.
- Proficiency with broadcast hardware and software, including switchers, routers, and encoders.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure to resolve technical issues quickly.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with live streaming platforms and technologies is a plus.
