Vickerstock are working in partnership with a growing business on the appointment of a Health & Safety Officer.Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will take ownership of day-to-day Health & Safety activities across the site, ensuring standards are maintained and continuously improved. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys engaging with teams, influencing behaviours, and making a tangible impact on workplace safety.In your new role:Conduct risk assessments, audits, and workplace inspections to identify and control hazardsInvestigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, implementing effective corrective actionsMaintain accurate Health & Safety records, reports, and documentationDevelop and coordinate Health & Safety training programmes and maintain training matricesSupport emergency preparedness activities, including fire safety and first aid arrangementsReview and update policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current legislationPromote a positive safety culture through coaching, engagement,



and communication across all levelsMonitor PPE compliance and ensure appropriate safety equipment is availableSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Health & Safety performanceWork closely with operational teams to ensure safe working practices are embedded throughout the businessWhat you'll need to succeed:NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent Health & Safety qualificationExperience within a similar Health & Safety roleExperience carrying out audits, inspections, and incident investigationsStrong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and best practiceExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levelsStrong organisational skills and attention to detailProactive approach with the ability to drive continuous improvement initiativesDesirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):Experience within manufacturing, warehousing, or logistics environmentsPrevious inv
