Job Description

As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain software solutions that power industrial automation systems in manufacturing environments. You will work closely with AI, controls, and mechanical engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and production-ready applications that support continuous plant operations and digital manufacturing initiatives.

Responsibilities

- Define software architecture and component designs, applying design patterns and documenting solutions with UML.
- Develop multi-threaded and asynchronous applications for real-time image acquisition, processing, and data management.
- Integrate software with industrial hardware, including cameras, PLCs, and field devices using standard industrial communication protocols.
- Optimize application performance, focusing on latency, throughput, reliability, and memory efficiency in 24/7 production environments.
- Design and maintain data persistence solutions and database integrations to support traceability and production reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver and support automation, AI, and manufacturing solutions.
