Job DescriptionPurpose of the RoleThe Primary Teaching Assistant plays a key role in supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences for pupils. The role involves working closely with children to promote their academic, social, and emotional development within a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment. The Teaching Assistant helps ensure that every child is supported to reach their full potential.Responsibilities- Support the class teacher in the planning, preparation, and delivery of learning activities.- Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning and provide targeted support.- Assist in creating a positive, stimulating, and well-organised classroom environment.- Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and behaviour in line with the school’s policies.- Help assess and record pupil progress, feeding back to the class teacher as appropriate.- Prepare and organise learning materials and classroom resources.- Support pupils with additional learning needs or special educational needs (SEN),
