Description UL Solutions is seeking a Senior Storage Advisory Expert to play a key role in delivering high-impact renewables projects and transactions across EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa). This is a client-facing, transaction-focused position within our growing Renewables Advisory business, offering strong exposure to leading developers, investors and lenders.

The role centers on the delivery of technical and commercial due-diligence support for Independent Engineering (IE) and Technical Advisory (TA) projects across energy storage, solar and storage, and hybrid renewable portfolios. You will contribute directly to project financing, M&A; and investment decisions by assessing risk, performance and bankability across complex projects.

The Senior Storage Advisory Expert integrates input from multidisciplinary teams to deliver consistent, high-quality advisory reports for our clients as well as supporting on team growth, mentoring other colleagues and supporting the growth in the region.

In this role, you will:

Lead and deliver complex due diligence projects across storage, solar & storage and hybrid renewable portfolios

Support major financing and transaction processes by reviewing contracts, financial models and technical documentation

Prepare tailored, competitive proposals aligned with client needs and market standards





Build strong client relationships and act as a primary point of contact on projects

Contribute to team development through mentoring and knowledge sharing

This role can be based in a hybrid model from Barcelona, Pamplona, Milan, Warsaw or Dubai, or fully remote from the Netherlands, Germany or Italy.

Responsibilities

Perform and lead technical due diligence reviews for energy storage and solar + storage hybrid projects supporting financing, acquisition, and development activities.

Review and interpret project contracts, including EPC, BSA, interconnection, PPA, O&M;, LTSA and major supply agreements, to identify technical and commercial risks.

Analyze and validate financial models, assessing CAPEX, OPEX, warranties, degradation, performance assumptions, and other key financial drivers.

Evaluate project energy use cases, operating profiles, and dispatch strategies to ensure alignment with technical capabilities and market conditions.

Compile and complete TDD reports, summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations to ensure clarity, quality, and consistency.

Integrate multidisciplinary input (engineering, financial, and environmental) to ensure a coherent and technically sound final deliverable.

Work closely with Project Managers to ensure alignment with scope, timeline and budget, supporting efficient project delivery.
