UNITE is partnering with a high-growth international cybersecurity company to appoint its first Country Manager for Iberia.

Based in Madrid, the Country Manager will be the company’s first commercial leader on the ground, responsible for launching, developing and scaling the business across Spain and Portugal.

This is not a role focused on inheriting an established territory or managing an existing team. The successful candidate must have proven experience opening a new market or building an underdeveloped territory from the ground up. They will establish the company’s regional presence, secure its first strategic customers, develop the partner ecosystem and build the foundations for a wider Iberian team.

The position requires an entrepreneurial sales leader who remains highly active in the market and is comfortable personally driving new business while shaping the longer-term regional strategy.

Key Responsibilities

- Launch and develop the company’s commercial presence across Spain and Portugal
- Create and execute the go-to-market strategy for the Iberian market
- Build the territory from the ground up, including pipeline creation, market positioning and partner development
- Identify, engage and win strategic enterprise customers
- Personally lead complex sales cycles from initial engagement through negotiation and close
- Develop strong relationships with CISOs, CIOs, security leaders and other senior decision-makers
- Recruit and enable channel partners, resellers, distributors and technology alliances
- Establish accurate revenue forecasts, territory plans and performance reporting
- Represent the company at relevant industry events,

customer meetings and partner activities
- Work closely with international sales, marketing, presales, customer success and product teams
- Provide market intelligence on customer requirements, competitors and regional opportunities
- Define the resources and organisational structure required to scale the Iberian business
- Recruit and lead a local team as the territory develops

Required Experience

- Proven success in cybersecurity, enterprise software or a closely related technology sector
- Demonstrable experience opening a new country, region or territory from the ground up
- A strong track record of winning new enterprise customers and generating revenue in a developing market
- Established relationships within the Spanish cybersecurity and enterprise technology ecosystem
- Experience selling complex solutions to large private-sector or public-sector organisations
- Strong knowledge of both direct enterprise sales and channel-led go-to-market models
- Experience recruiting, developing or managing partners across Spain and Portugal
- Ability to operate independently as the first employee or commercial leader in a region
- Comfortable combining strategic country leadership with hands-on business development
- Experience building business plans,

revenue forecasts and market-entry strategies
- Native or fluent Spanish and professional English
- Portuguese language skills and an existing network in Portugal would be advantageous
- Based in Madrid, with the ability to travel regularly across Spain and Portugal

The Adecuado Profile The successful candidate will be a credible and well-connected cybersecurity sales leader who knows how to create a market rather than simply manage one.

They will be commercially ambitious, resilient and comfortable working without an established local infrastructure. They should understand the realities of entering a new territory, including building brand recognition, creating pipeline without relying on inbound demand, winning early reference customers and establishing a productive partner network.

Previous experience holding responsibility as a Country Manager, Regional Director, Sales Director or senior individual contributor will be considered. The title is less important than clear evidence of having successfully built a territory from an early stage.

What the Company Offers

- The opportunity to become the first leader on the ground in Iberia
- Significant ownership over regional strategy and execution
- Direct visibility with the international leadership team
- The autonomy to shape the company’s presence across Spain and Portugal
- The opportunity to build and lead a local team as the region grows
- A competitive executive-level compensation package
- Strong long-term career development within an expanding international cybersecurity company
