PredictBy is a research and consulting firm focused on social, behavioural and data science. We conduct rigorous applied research and consulting projects for private companies and public institutions. PredictBy maintains a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects for European Institutions and other EU agencies.

Our interdisciplinary team is based in Barcelona (Spain), with offices in Bonn (Germany), and has broad expertise in EU policy and regulation in areas including health and digital transformation.

PredictBy has grown from just 6 people when it was founded less than five years ago to more than 40 today. We have recently joined a larger European group and expect to continue growing in the coming years.

With this growth comes the need to further strengthen and professionalise our internal finance and administrative processes. We are therefore looking for a Finance & Accounting Officer who will support the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of PredictBy and contribute to the smooth running of the company’s broader administrative activities.

The role

We are looking for a Finance & Accounting Officer to support the day-to-day accounting and financial administration of PredictBy.

This is a hands-on role covering core accounting activities, bank reconciliations, preparation of tax-related information and general financial administration.

Given our size and continued growth, we are looking for someone who is comfortable working beyond narrowly defined responsibilities when needed. From time to time, the role will also involve supporting broader administrative and operational tasks across the company, depending on the needs of the team.

You will work closely with PredictBy’s Corporate team, external accounting and tax advisers and, where relevant, other companies within the Group.

Key responsibilities:

- Support the day-to-day accounting activities of the company.
- Record and review supplier invoices, expenses and other accounting documentation.
- Prepare and maintain bank reconciliations and support cash-flow monitoring.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Assist with monthly accounting closings and financial reporting.
- Prepare the information and documentation required for VAT, corporate tax and other tax filings in coordination with our external tax and accounting advisers.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure accounting documentation is properly organised and filed.
- Support expense management, including employee expenses and travel-related costs.
- Assist with invoicing and follow-up of outstanding payments where required.
- Support the preparation of financial information for internal reporting and management purposes.
- Liaise with external accounting, tax and administrative advisers when necessary.
- Contribute to improving finance and administrative processes as the company continues to grow.
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the wider team when required, depending on business needs.

Required skills and experience

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration and management, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.




- Around 2–4 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, finance administration or a similar role.
- Previous experience with day-to-day accounting activities and bank reconciliations.
- Basic practical understanding of Spanish accounting and tax processes.
- Experience preparing accounting and financial information for external accountants or tax advisers.
- Good command of Excel and confidence working with financial data.
- Experience using accounting software or ERP systems would be an advantage.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage several tasks and priorities in a structured and reliable manner.
- A proactive, practical and solution-oriented approach.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with colleagues and external advisers.
- A rigorous and discreet approach to handling financial and confidential information.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluency in Spanish and a good professional level of English, both spoken and written. Catalan is highly desirable.

- Salary: EUR 30,000–35,000 gross per annum (FTE), depending on experience, plus an array of benefits, including office lunch and complementary refreshments.
