About the Role

UQUIFA Group as a Head of Logistic Department in Sant Celoni

We are seeking an experienced Head of Logistic Department to oversee the operations at our Sant Celoni plant. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient management of logistic activities, including the reception of raw materials, consumables, and solvents, their storage and supply to the production plant, and the shipment of finished goods to customers. The ideal candidate will uphold our high standards of quality and safety while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate and optimize the management of warehouse supplies (raw materials, tanks, and finished product).
- Optimize the current distribution model to guarantee an efficient and quality service in compliance with current regulations.
- Collaborate and participate in the automation project of storage systems.
- Identify specific areas for improvement and be constantly interested in the development of innovative and sustainable measures.




- Plan and control the development of projects, demand and processes.
- Product transport and distribution management.
- Coordinate and lead their work team.
- Ensure that their staff is trained and have the training in the SOPs that apply to them.
- Management of human resources in your area (proposing sanctions, needs, promotions, etc.).
- Know and apply current regulations on the transport, storage, loading and unloading of chemical substances and dangerous goods.
- Implement the proposals and recommendations of the Security Adviser.
- Prepare the documentation of the Quality Management System of the Warehouse area (Procedures, Records, SOPs, etc.).

Qualifications

- A degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field.
- Approximately 5–10 years of experience in logistics or supply chain, ideally including team or supplier management responsibilities.
- Previous experience in the chemical, pharmaceutical, agrochemical, coatings, industrial gases or another highly regulated industry is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of national and international transportation, warehousing, distribution and logistics processes.
- Knowledge of ADR / and GMP is highly valued.
- Good understanding of Incoterms, customs procedures and international shipping documentation.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, as well as WMS/TMS tools.
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working with logistics KPIs and data.
- Professional working in English.





Required Skills

- The successful candidate will report directly to the Supply Chain Director and will have twelve direct reports, making strong leadership and people management skills essential.
- We are looking for someone who is not only experienced in logistic operations but also confident in managing a team, ensuring clear direction, accountability, and motivation.
- This person must be resilient, hands-on, and proactive, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to initiate and implement improvements.
- They should also be adaptable and highly experienced in SAP, with a background in a GMP environment and chemical warehouse operations being a strong advantage.
- Beyond technical expertise, we seek a leader who embodies integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment.
