We accept applications from Madrid and Barcelona.

We are seeking an HR Operations Associate to join our dynamic, rapidly growing, and innovative organisation.

RELP is an impact-driven, independent nonprofit organisation that aims to facilitate the cheaper and faster deployment of renewable energy in emerging and developing countries. We aspire to increase reliable, affordable and sustainable energy, thereby mitigating climate change. Our MISSION is to accelerate the transition to clean energy by unlocking renewable energy markets to scalable private investments at lower prices, promoting sustainable economic development for the people.

We are very proud of our prominent Board of Advisors, which includes well-known personalities from the integral renewable energy, climate, and business sectors. They are: Michael Liebreich, Rachel Kyte, Rebecca Collyer, Angelina Galiteva, David Rogers, Daniel Magallón, Charles Bai, and Felix Zhang as part of our team and board. Visit our website for more information.

We are funded by philanthropic organisations, including the Rockefeller Foundation, Quadrature Climate Foundation, Ballmer Group, European Climate Foundation, Packard Foundation, IKEA Foundation, Oak Foundation, Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet, and Good Energies Foundation through Climate Breakthrough.

The candidate's main focus will be to keep RELP's HR administration accurate, compliant, and running smoothly — acting as the operational backbone that supports the HRBPs team and provides contributors with a reliable, well-organised experience from onboarding to offboarding.

You will succeed in this role if you are highly organised, comfortable with process and detail-heavy work, and able to manage multiple administrative workflows across different countries and contributor types without losing accuracy or missing deadlines.

If you enjoy challenges, are passionate about renewable energy, and seek a job with a meaningful impact in scaling up clean energy systems globally while contributing significantly to climate change mitigation, RELP will be a great fit for you.

How you will contribute:

HR Systems & Data Management

- Maintain and update RELP's HR systems, ensuring contributor data is accurate, complete, and consistently recorded.
- Build and maintain HR metrics and dashboards across regions, generating regular reports for the HR Manager and leadership.

- Track key HR KPIs and flag trends or risks that may need attention from the HR Manager or HR Business Partners.

HR Administration

- Maintain and update contributor benefits and value proposition information by country.
- Support HRBPs in researching and consolidating information on local HR practices and requirements.
- Support the research and identification of external HR providers and services.
- Keep HR policies, benefits information, and employee-facing materials accurate and up to date.

Talent Acquisition Backup

- Provide backup support to the Talent Acquisition team during peak periods, absences, or urgent hiring needs, including scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate communications, and posting job openings.
- Assist with sourcing and screening candidates when additional capacity is needed, working closely with the relevant Hiring Manager and HR Business Partner.

Contributor Records & Documentation

- Collaborate to maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date contributor files and personnel records.
- Organise and safeguard service agreements, amendments, and other contributor documentation in coordination with Legal.

Onboarding & Offboarding Administration

- Manage the administrative steps of onboarding new contributors: documentation, system set-up, equipment/access requests, and welcome logistics.
- Coordinate offboarding administration, ensuring a smooth and compliant exit process.
- Maintain and update onboarding materials, including the Contributors' Handbook and Buddy Guide.

Contracts & Compliance Support

- Support the preparation, tracking, and filing of contributor agreements and related documentation.
- Help monitor key dates (contract renewals, probation periods, statutory deadlines) across jurisdictions and flag them to the HR Manager and HR Business Partners.

Process Improvement

- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise, and document HR operational processes.
- Support the roll-out of new HR tools, templates, and workflows.

Communication & Collaboration

- Keep contributors, People Leaders, and the HR team clearly informed on HR processes, timelines, and any changes, using simple and accessible language.
- Proactively flag delays, risks,

or issues to the HR Manager and relevant HR Business Partners, and coordinate closely with them to keep information flowing smoothly.
- Maintain clear, organised, and easy-to-find documentation so information is accessible to the wider HR team.

What you will bring:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in HR Operations, HR administration, or a similar HR support role, ideally with exposure to multi-country or contractor-based environments.
- Fluent in English.
- Strong working knowledge of HR systems/HRIS, comfortable working with data, and confident building and maintaining HR reports and metrics.
- Excellent organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong sense of confidentiality, discretion, and accountability when handling sensitive contributor information.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain HR processes and policies clearly to contributors and stakeholders across different regions and cultures.
- Comfortable stepping in to support Talent Acquisition activities (scheduling, candidate communication, sourcing) when needed.
- Autonomous and proactive, comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a remote, distributed team.

Work schedule:

- Fully remote position (GMT +2 time zone).
- Your dedication will be full-time and exclusive to RELP

Our value proposition:

- Flexibility and work-life balance.
