Experteer Overview
In this role you own and operate the self-hosted CI/CD Kubernetes platform used by thousands of builds in a large Rails monorepo. You will manage capacity, reliability, upgrades, security and cost across bare-metal clusters in European datacentres. You’ll tune build caches, runner images, and data services to speed up every developer’s feedback loop. You’ll work closely with engineers to make the platform approachable and reliable, turning incidents into guardrails and runbooks. This is a hands-on role with real impact on developer productivity and system performance.

• Own CI/CD Kubernetes clusters end to end: capacity, reliability, upgrades, security and cost
• Run and scale self-hosted GitHub Actions runners using Runner Controller
• Maintain fast data services (MySQL, Redis, ClickHouse) for tests
• Design and tune build caches and artifact caches and manage registries
• Instrument the platform and drive improvement via metrics, SLAs and targets
• Operate bare metal infrastructure and troubleshoot networking, kernel, and storage issues
• Lead incident response, blameless postmortems, and derive actionable guardrails
• Treat the platform as a product for engineers, gathering feedback and improving workflows




• Rightsize runner tiers and manage fleet growth; upgrade clusters with minimal disruption
• Collaborate with product engineers to streamline slow workflows and remove bottlenecks

Responsabilidades
• 5+ years running production infrastructure with Kubernetes at core
• Deep Kubernetes expertise (scheduling, limits, evictions, DaemonSets, controllers)
• Strong Linux and container fundamentals (containerd/Docker, cgroups, namespaces)
• Terraform and infrastructure-as-code with good module design and state hygiene
• CI/CD at platform level: workflows, templates, runner architecture, caching
• Experience with GitHub Actions and self-hosted runners
• Scripting in Bash plus Python or Go
• Observability mindset: metrics, logs, traces, dashboards; OpenTelemetry/Prometheus tooling
• Operational maturity: on-call, incident command, postmortems, and learning from outages
• Capacity and cost awareness; able to size a fleet and explain the bill
• Clear written English and documentation discipline
