About the position

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral researcher to join the Mucosal Immunology Lab led by by Dr.

Giuliana

Magri at the Immunology Unit, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences-Campus Clinic, University of Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain. This is a fully funded 10-month position, supported by a CPP23 grant from the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. Subject to the availability of additional funding and project needs, there is the possibility of extending the contract beyond the initial 10-month period.

Position Description The postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for designing and conducting in vitro functional assays using primary cells from IBD patients and apply novel systems Immunology approaches to identify predictive biomarkers of response to treatment.



The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge translational research and to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across academia and industry to advance the development of engineered cytokine-based therapies.

Requirements

- Ph.D in immunology or a closely related field, completed within the last 10 years
- Proven expertise in in vitro functional immunological assays with primary immune cells
- Expertise in multiparametric flow citometry (both conventian and spectral flow cytometry)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Confident, execution focused and team oriented
- Proficiency in English

Additional desirable qualifications

- Prior experience in IBD research
- Experience in single cell RNA sequencing analysis
- Relevant scientific publications in related field
- Experience with project management and scientific writing
