UX Engineer (FX Trading Systems)We are seeking an experienced Senior UX Engineer with strong expertise in FX Trading Systems to join our FX Pricing & Hedging team. This is a unique opportunity for a professional who combines UX design excellence, front-end engineering expertise, and user documentation skills to deliver world-class trading experiences within a fast-paced Financial Markets environment.

You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining modern user interfaces for our electronic FX trading platform. Working closely with Traders, Sales, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Engineering teams, you will transform complex trading workflows into intuitive, high-performance applications that enhance productivity, improve usability, and reduce operational risk.

The RoleAs a UX Engineer, you will bridge the gap between business requirements, user experience design, and front-end development. You will be responsible for driving user-centered design across our FX trading applications while ensuring all user-facing functionality is fully documented and aligned with the platform's design standards.

This position offers the opportunity to work directly with Front Office stakeholders and contribute to the evolution of critical trading and risk management systems.

Key ResponsibilitiesUX Design

- Design intuitive user experiences for FX pricing, trading, risk management, and operational workflows.
- Create user journeys, wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes.
- Simplify complex trading processes while maintaining essential business functionality.
- Conduct usability reviews and incorporate user feedback into iterative improvements.




- Define and maintain UX best practices, standards, and reusable design components.

Front-End Development
- Develop production-ready user interfaces using modern front-end technologies.
- Build and maintain reusable UI components aligned with the platform design system.
- Integrate real-time trading workflows and market data alongside back-end teams.
- Optimize application performance for low-latency trading environments.
- Ensure responsive, accessible, and cross-browser compatible interfaces.

Business Engagement
- Partner directly with Traders, Sales teams, Product Owners, Support teams, and Business Analysts.
- Translate business requirements into effective user interface solutions.
- Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, design reviews, and release activities.
- Validate solutions with business users before deployment to production.

User DocumentationOwn and maintain all user-facing documentation, including:
- User Guides and User Manuals.
- Feature documentation for new releases.
- Screen-by-screen platform documentation.
- Workflow diagrams and process documentation.
- Onboarding and training materials.
- Quick reference guides and knowledge base articles.
- User-focused release notes and change documentation.

Design System Ownership




- Manage and evolve the platform's design system and component library.
- Drive consistency across all trading applications.
- Define UI standards, interaction patterns, typography, colour schemes, iconography, and layouts.
- Review implementations to ensure adherence to UX and design standards.

Required Experience
- Significant experience designing and delivering enterprise software solutions.
- Strong hands-on experience in front-end development.
- Experience within Financial Markets, Investment Banking, Capital Markets, or Trading Technology environments.
- Proven experience working directly with Front Office users.
- Strong track record of translating business requirements into user-focused solutions.
- Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
