Experteer Overview

As Principal Power Systems Architect, you own the end-to-end electrical design for hyperscale AI data centres, from HV grid connections to rack power. You will challenge conventional electrification architectures and make defensible design decisions under uncertainty, interfacing with utilities, authorities, EPCs, and vendors.

You’ll lead a multi-domain team to ensure coherent, stage-gated study outputs across grid, distribution, and rack power. This role combines technical leadership with external stakeholder engagement to shape scalable, compliant infrastructure.

Compensaciones / Incentivos

- Own the overall electrical architecture from HV grid connection to AC/DC rack power
- Direct five-domain study work streams: steady-state planning, dynamic studies, insulation coordination, protection/RAMS, MV/LV design
- Lead grid connection strategy including TSO engagement and grid-code compliance
- Provide technical sign-off on major study deliverables and designs
- Specify system-level equipment (transformers, reactive power, BESS, power electronics, UPS) per IEC standards
- Interface with TSOs, DSOs, grid authorities, EPCs, independent engineers, and OEMs




- Identify and manage technical risks across the full lifecycle, including cross-discipline interfaces
- Mentor and develop the specialist engineering team across domains

Responsabilidades

- M. Sc./Ph.D. in electrical engineering with a focus on power systems (thesis in grid dynamics, power electronics, or HV design is a differentiator)
- Minimum 15 years of relevant industrial experience across at least three of the five domains (familiar with all five)
- Proven HV grid connection experience in an IEC regulatory context with direct TSO engagement
- Familiarity with IEC standards: IEC 60909, IEC 60071, IEC 61936, IEC 61850, IEC 62271
- Hands-on experience with at least two major RMS/EMT simulation platforms (Power Factory, PSS/E, PS-CAD)
- Experience with DCS/SCADA integration and plant-level energy management per IEC 61850/61968/61970
- Fluent in English; additional regional language is an advantage
