Role Description The Chief Business Architect is a full-time remote role responsible for defining and maintaining the overall business architecture for Orcas Capital and its OCASUR operations. This role leads the mapping of business capabilities, processes, and organizational structures to strategic objectives, ensuring alignment between regulatory services, operational efficiency, and long-term growth. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing current business models, documenting end-to-end processes, translating business requirements into architectural blueprints, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and service delivery.

Architect will partner with leadership to identify improvement opportunities, design target operating models, and support the implementation of change initiatives. The role also involves establishing standards, methodologies, and governance practices for business architecture and mentoring teams on best practices.

Qualifications

- Strong Business Architecture skills, including capability mapping, target operating model design, and alignment of business strategy with organizational structures.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to evaluate complex data, assess performance and risk, and derive actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Experience in Business Process design, optimization, and documentation, with a focus on quality, compliance, and efficiency.
- Ability to gather, prioritize, and manage Business Requirements from diverse stakeholders and translate them into clear architectural and process specifications.
- Proficiency in Business Analysis, including stakeholder engagement, gap analysis, and solution recommendations for governance and operations.
- Proven experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments (inspection, certification, financial services, or similar) is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional, and multicultural setting.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; professional certifications in business architecture or business analysis are a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in designing and implementing business transformation initiatives.
