Reference: 330076We are working with a general construction client, who are looking foor an e-invoicing consultant, with a focus on SAP Finance, taxation, billing and integration teams to deliver end-to-end e-invoicing solutions for an SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environment. The role will focus on Portuguese fiscal requirements, SAP Document and Reporting Compliance, the SAP eDocument Framework and integration with external tax or e-invoicing service providers.

The successful consultant will be comfortable working with both business and technical stakeholders and will be able to translate finance and compliance requirements into practical SAP solutions.

Key responsibilities

Lead the functional design and implementation of SAP e-invoicing processes for Portugal.

Configure and support SAP Document and Reporting Compliance and/or the SAP eDocument Framework.

Analyse and map source documents from FI-AR, FI-AP, SD Billing and MM invoicing into electronic documents.

Configure Portuguese tax, invoice, credit memo and debit memo requirements.

Support compliance with Portuguese requirements relating to certified invoicing software, digital signatures, document numbering, QR codes, ATCUD and SAF-T reporting, where applicable.help.sap+3Define and maintain mapping rules for company codes, tax codes, business partners, materials, payment terms and invoice data.

Configure validation, enrichment and business rules using BRF+ or related SAP functionality.

Support integration between SAP Finance, SD, MM, tax engines, middleware and external e-invoicing providers.

Gather requirements from Finance, Tax, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and business stakeholders.

Produce functional specifications, process documentation and configuration documentation.

Coordinate unit testing, integration testing,



user acceptance testing and regression testing.

Support certification and connectivity testing with relevant Portuguese platforms or service providers.

Investigate and resolve issues relating to invoice creation, document mapping, XML generation, validation and transmission.

Support cutover, go-live and post-go-live activities.

Provide knowledge transfer and ongoing third-line support to internal teams. Required experience: Proven experience as an SAP FI, SAP Finance or SAP e-Invoicing Consultant.

Hands-on experience delivering e-invoicing or digital tax reporting solutions.

Strong knowledge of SAP FI-AR and/or FI-AP processes.

Experience integrating SAP billing processes with Finance, particularly FI and SD.Practical experience with SAP Document and Reporting Compliance, SAP eDocument Framework or equivalent SAP e-invoicing functionality.

Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.Good understanding of tax procedures, invoice validation and legally compliant document flows.

Experience with functional mapping, interface testing and issue resolution.

Ability to work with business stakeholders, developers, integration teams and external providers.

Strong documentation, analytical and communication skills. Professional fluency in English.

Desirable experience: Previous experience with Portuguese SAP localisation or Portuguese e-invoicing projects.

Knowledge of SAF-T Portugal, ATCUD, QR codes and Portuguese digital-signature requirements.

Experience with SAP BRF+, output management, IDocs, APIs, XML or JSON interfaces.

Experience with SAP Integration Suite, SAP CPI, SAP PI/PO or other middleware platforms.

Knowledge of SAP tax solutions or third-party tax engines.

Experience working with B2G e-invoicing and public-sector invoicing processes.

Portuguese language skills. Experience supporting S/4HANA transformation programmes. xugodme SAP Finance or SAP DRC certification.
