UAV Avionics and Systems Integration Engineer

We are partnering with a fast-growing European aerospace and defence technology company developing advanced unmanned aerial vehicles for mission‑critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

- They are looking for a UAV Avionics and Systems Integration Engineer to take ownership of the integration between avionics, sensors, communications, power distribution, flight‑control systems and wider aircraft subsystems.
- Integrate avionics, sensors, communications, propulsion, power distribution, flight controls and payload systems.
- Define electrical connections, signal routing and power‑distribution requirements.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, aerospace and software engineers to establish technical requirements and interface specifications.
- Support the physical assembly and integration of aircraft components and subsystems.
- Create detailed work instructions for assembly, integration and testing activities.
- Document tooling requirements, safety precautions and quality checkpoints.
- Develop system‑level test plans and validation procedures.
- Conduct functional, integration and environmental testing.
- Analyse test results and recommend design improvements.
- Support ground and flight‑testing campaigns for UAV platforms.




- Maintain accurate system specifications, architecture documents, wiring diagrams, test reports and technical records.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional experience in UAV, aircraft or aerospace systems engineering.
- Practical knowledge of avionics, sensors, communications, electrical systems, signal routing and power distribution.
- Experience integrating complex hardware and software subsystems.
- Understanding of UAV airframes, propulsion systems and flight‑control architecture.
- Experience supporting aircraft assembly, integration, testing and troubleshooting.
- Experience developing test plans and conducting system‑level verification and validation.

Additional Skills

- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Fluent Spanish and English.
- Follow systems from initial architecture through assembly, validation and flight.
- Collaborate with international specialists across aerospace, avionics, software and defence.
