VHIR is seeking a Clinical Researcher to join the
Pneumology Department and the Catalan Centre for Alpha-1
Antitrypsin Deficiency. The successful candidate will support the
research group in its clinical research activities focused on
chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and alpha-1
antitrypsin deficiency. More information about the research group
can be found at: https://centrealfa1.org/ Main responsibilities and
duties: Provide support to the research group in the areas of COPD
and alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. Contribute to the design of
clinical research protocols. Collect data and contribute to data
analysis and interpretation. Enter and maintain data in registries
and databases. Prepare reports and contribute to the scientific
communication and dissemination of research results. Education and
qualifications: Required: Degree in Medicine. Completion of
specialist medical training (MIR). Fluency in Catalan, Spanish and
English (professional working proficiency). Desirable: Interest in
clinical research. Experience and knowledge: Required: Relevant
clinical experience as a medically qualified professional.
Experience participating in research projects and/or research
programmes. Clinical experience in the management of chronic
respiratory diseases, particularly COPD and alpha-1 antitrypsin
deficiency. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, REDCap and database
management. Desirable: Knowledge of statistics and experience in
database analysis. Labour conditions: Working hours : Part-time
(18,75 hours per week). Starting date : September, 2026. Gross
annual salary : Remuneration will be determined by experience,
skills and responsibilities and aligned with the Collective
Agreement pay scale. Contract type : Technical and scientific
