EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF – ULTRA-LUXURY CRUISE LINE

Barcelona Chef Recruitment specializes in international culinary recruitment for luxury cruise lines, 5-star hotels, resorts and fine-dining operations worldwide.

We are currently screening and shortlisting Executive Sous Chefs to present directly to the Recruitment Directors of one of our clients, a leading ultra-luxury, mid-size cruise line known for its high culinary standards, authentic European cuisine and fine-dining offering.

THE OPERATION
Approximately 700–900 guests , with a large culinary operation covering:
Main Galley
Multiple Fine-Dining & Specialty Restaurants
Casual Dining
Room Service
Events & Functions

THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, the Executive Sous Chef acts as second-in-command of the entire culinary operation onboard .

This is an operational leadership role, not a creative position . Menus and recipes are established by the Corporate Culinary Team. The focus is on execution, consistency, organization and leadership .
You will oversee daily operations, production, multiple outlets, quality standards, staffing, scheduling, training,



sanitation and a large multicultural culinary team.

PACKAGE
Salary: USD 8,250/month while onboard
Rotation: 4 months onboard / 2 months off – unpaid
Cabin: Single cabin
Flights: Provided
Joining dates: October, November & December 2026

REQUIREMENTS
Previous cruise ship experience is mandatory
Senior culinary leadership experience onboard
Strong fine-dining / luxury hospitality background
Strong European cuisine and classical cooking knowledge
Experience managing large teams and multiple outlets
Strong operational and people-management skills
Professional English

We are looking for strong operators and experienced cruise leaders who can support the Executive Chef, lead the brigade and maintain demanding standards across the full culinary operation.

Selected profiles will be shortlisted by Barcelona Chef Recruitment and presented directly to the client’s Recruitment Directors.
